Our office is located on the 4th road over here in the Jhowtala Road area of Kolkata. Being at number 49 makes it easy enough for people to find us once they get into the neighborhood. It’s a typical Kolkata street, always noisy with horns and people walking by. We spend our days sorting through deliveries and helping whoever walks through the door. The space is a bit cramped when we have a lot of shipments coming in at once, but we've learned how to stack things to make room. It’s mostly just us and the boxes. We don't spend money on fancy rugs or paintings. The walls are plain and the desks are old, but they hold up. We’ve had a few rainy days where the water gets close to the entrance, but luckily we are high enough up that it doesn't bother the cargo. Dealing with logistics in a city like this takes patience. Traffic is usually the biggest headache for the drivers. When someone brings a package, we just weigh it, do the forms, and put it in the queue. There's no secret to it, just hard work and staying organized. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook and other times it's quiet enough to hear the crows outside. We’ve been part of this street for a long time now and have seen many shops come and go while we just keep sorting our packages.
