Demetra Real Estate Llp is based out of Hmp House on Fairlie Place. You can find us on the 3rd floor in Room No. 301,4. It’s a busy building in a part of town that never really slows down. Our office is just a simple room where we handle real estate matters. There are three of us here most days. We have some old wooden desks and chairs that have been around since we started. It’s not the kind of place you’d see in a magazine, but it’s practical. We spend a lot of time looking over documents and making calls. Sometimes the hallway is a bit dark, but our room has a good window. Fairlie Place has a lot of offices, and we’ve gotten to know some of the neighbors. We aren't trying to be a big corporate firm. We just do our work and try to stay organized. There’s always a pile of files on the corner table that we need to get to. We drink plenty of tea to stay focused during the long afternoons. Sometimes we have to go out to meet people at different properties, so the office might be empty for an hour or two. We don't have a receptionist, so we just answer the door ourselves. It’s a basic way of doing business, but it has worked for us so far. It gets a bit noisy during the lunch hour but that is just part of being here.
