Damodar Ropeways Infra Ltd. is over at 1/A, Vansittari Row. It’s a quiet enough street most of the time. Our office is where we do all the engineering and planning for the ropeway systems. It’s a lot of technical work involving cables and heavy machinery specs. We aren’t a very big team in this specific office, but we stay busy. The desks are usually covered in technical drawings and notes about different project sites. We deal with a lot of paperwork for infrastructure. It’s a bit of an old-school way of working, with lots of folders and physical documents. We don't have any fancy decorations on the walls, just some photos of projects we've finished over the years. The location is convenient for us. We come in early, make some coffee, and start looking at the progress reports. There is always something to fix or a new site to survey. It’s practical work. We don't use big words to describe what we do. We just build ropeways. Sometimes we travel to the sites to see how things are going, but the core management happens right here on Vansittari Row. It’s a small space but it’s ours. We have a routine that works for us, and we keep things moving along without much drama. The days can be long when a project is in the middle of a difficult phase, but we just keep at it. Our filing system is mostly just stacks of paper that we sort through every Monday morning. It’s not elegant, but it works for us.
