Damodar Ropeways & Construction Co. P Ltd

We’ve been over at 23/C Pramanick Ghat Road for a while now. Most days are just spent dealing with cables and big building projects. It’s a busy spot here. People think ropeways are just for vacations, but there is a lot of heavy lifting and steel involved in the real work. We usually have a lot of paperwork on the desks and blueprints everywhere. The street outside gets noisy sometimes with the traffic, but we just get on with it and keep the doors shut. It isn't a fancy office by any means. We have some old chairs and a lot of filing cabinets that have been here since forever. Most of the guys are out on sites most of the week, so the office stays a bit quiet until the late afternoon when everyone comes back. We don't really do much for show or try to impress anyone. It is mostly about getting the gear ready and making sure the construction parts are sorted out for the next day. If you walk by Pramanick Ghat Road, you’ll see our small sign. It's nothing special to look at, just a place where we work. We spend a lot of time talking about tension and support beams. Sometimes the tea lady comes around and that's the highlight of the morning for us. We just try to keep things moving and make sure the projects don't stall out. It's hard work, but it is what we know. There are always trucks coming and going, or someone looking for a specific bolt. That is basically how things go here every day for us.
