We are based out in a village called Nalkura, near the Badu post office. It is in the 24 Parganas North district, not too far from the main parts of Kolkata. Crossroad Logistics Pvt.Ltd. is the name on our gate. Being a bit away from the city center means it is a little quieter here, which we actually like. We have enough space to handle what we need to. Our work is pretty straightforward—we move things from one point to another. We spend our days talking to drivers and checking on shipments. Sometimes the roads around the village get a bit muddy when it rains, but we manage to keep things moving. We aren't a big corporate office with fancy suits. Most of us just wear regular clothes and get our hands dirty when needed. It is a local business and we know the people around here. We’ve been in this spot for a while and have seen the area change a bit. We just focus on the task at hand. If a shipment is late, we find out why and tell the truth about it. There is no point in making up excuses. We just do the work, go home, and come back the next day to do it again. It’s a simple life and a simple business. We don't need much more than our phones, our ledgers, and a bit of patience to get through the busy weeks.
