Continental Transport Agency

Our office is located at E1/10 Indraloke Estate II in the Paikpara area of Kolkata. The pin is 700 002. If you’ve ever walked around North Kolkata, you know the vibe—it’s got history and it’s very crowded. The estate itself is a bit of a landmark for us. Continental Transport Agency has been operating out of this space, and it’s exactly what you’d expect from a local business. The rooms are a bit high-ceilinged but can get quite warm during the summer months. We have several fans going all at once to keep the air moving. It’s a lot of paperwork here, stacks of it on almost every flat surface. We try to keep it all sorted, but there’s always something new coming in. The street noise from Paikpara is constant, with horns and people calling out. You eventually stop hearing it after a few months. We’ve got a small tea guy who comes by twice a day, and that’s usually the highlight of our afternoon. There’s no fancy lobby or receptionist, just us sitting at our desks and getting through the day's tasks. We talk about the local news or the weather while we work. It’s a very grounded place to be. When the day is done, we lock up the heavy doors and join the crowds on the street. It’s just our daily life here in the city, and we're used to it.
