We set up shop at 6B Rajendra Prasad Sarani in the heart of Kolkata. It’s an area where everyone seems to be in a rush, but we try to keep a steady pace inside our walls. We deal with color specifications and how they apply to different industries. It sounds a bit technical, but really it’s just about making sure things look right. We have stacks of sample cards and charts lying around the office. It can get a bit cluttered, but we know where everything is. Our team is small, mostly people who have lived in the city their whole lives. We talk about the local news over lunch and then get back to checking our data. The building isn't anything special to look at, just a regular brick and mortar place that’s seen a lot of years. We don’t spend money on expensive furniture or big signs. We’d rather focus on making sure the work is accurate. Sometimes we stay late when there’s a lot to do, but usually, we’re out by the time the evening rush starts. It’s a decent way to make a living. We’ve met a lot of interesting people through this business over the years. We just take things one day at a time and try to stay organized, even when the desk gets buried under paperwork.
