Our office is located at 40A/H/3 Shamsul Huda Road in Kolkata. Cladking Impex Private Limited is the name on the door. It’s a bit of a tucked-away spot, but it works fine for what we do. We mostly deal with importing and exporting different items, so there is always some talk about containers and customs duties. It’s not the kind of job where you sit around doing nothing. There’s always a list of things to check and people to follow up with. The office is pretty lived-in, with stacks of paper and empty tea cups on most of the tables. We don't have a receptionist or a lobby. If you come by, you just walk in and find whoever isn't on the phone at that moment. We’ve been in this area for a good amount of time, so we know the local shops and where to get a decent lunch. The work can be a bit repetitive, checking invoices and matching up numbers, but it’s what we know how to do. We don’t really go for all those fancy business terms people use these days. We just say what we’re doing and try to get it done properly. Sometimes the weather in West Bengal makes things difficult for transport, but we just deal with it as it comes. It's a regular business run by regular people who show up and do the work.
