Being over at No. 3c Chowringhee Lane means dealing with a lot of noise from the street, but you get used to it after a week or two. Pink N Blues Kids Wear Pvt. Ltd. has been operating out of this spot for a good bit of time. It’s mostly just stacks of clothes for toddlers and older kids piled up on the counters. We spend a lot of our morning just sorting through what arrived the night before. The lane is narrow, so when the delivery trucks come, it’s always a bit of a mess getting things inside. We have these old metal racks that have seen better days, but they hold everything just fine. The light in the back of the shop is a bit dim, so we usually do most of the inspection near the front door where the sun hits. It’s a simple operation. We don’t have a big fancy team, just a few of us who know where everything is kept. If someone asks for a specific size, we usually have to dig through a few boxes to find it. People in the building next door often stop by just to chat while we’re folding shirts. It’s a lively part of town and there’s always something happening right outside the window. We just keep our heads down and keep the stock moving. It’s not always easy keeping up with everything but we manage to get it done.
