Chopada Motors

Over here at Chopada Motors, we’ve made our home at 10, Pran Krishna Mukherjee Road in the Cossipore area. It’s a part of town that has its own rhythm, and we’ve been part of it for some time. We’re mostly focused on motors and the various parts that go with them. The shop isn’t huge, but we pack a lot into it. Dealing with engines and mechanical stuff means our hands are usually a bit greasy by the end of the day, but that’s just the nature of the work. Cossipore is an interesting place to work because you get all sorts of people stopping by. Sometimes it’s a neighbor with a quick question about their car, and other times it’s someone who travelled a bit further because they heard we had a specific part in stock. We don’t really go in for big signs or loud music to get attention. Most people find us because we’re right there on the road and they know what we do. The mornings start with clearing the dust and getting the tools ready. It’s a lot of manual labor and standing around talking to customers about what’s making that weird noise under their hood. We just try to be straight with everyone who walks in. It’s not a complicated life, just keeping the motors running and making sure the shop stays open for whoever needs us next. We take our time and do it right and then lock up for the night.
