You can find Chinna Exim Llp in the Shantiniketan Building over on Camac Street. We are way up on the ninth floor in room number two. It’s a busy building with lots of different companies, so there’s always people coming and going. From our window, you get a decent view of the surroundings which is a nice break from looking at computer screens all day. We do exim work which mostly involves a lot of coordinating between sellers and buyers. There’s a lot of back-end work that people don't see, like customs filings and bank documents. Our office is pretty small and we keep it simple with just the necessary equipment. We’ve been at this for a while and know the ins and outs of the trade routes. Camac Street is a central spot so it's easy for us to meet with people when we need to. We don't spend money on fancy brochures or big ads. Most of our work comes from people who have worked with us before and we just try to do things correctly. It’s a lot of checking lists and making sure the cargo is where it’s supposed to be. Sometimes the days are long but we like the pace of it. It’s just how we run things here on the ninth floor. We also have a small corner where we keep our files organized. It’s not a large operation, but we do our best. Working in Camac Street means there is always somewhere to grab a chai. Most of the time it’s just keyboards clicking and phone calls.
