Down at 47A/6 on Tiljala Road, things are always a bit busy and a little bit messy. Chemical Enterprise is where we spend most of our daylight hours. It’s an industrial sort of area, so there is always a layer of grit on the windows and the sound of trucks moving back and forth. We handle a lot of different containers and drums, so the shop floor is mostly concrete and heavy metal racks. It’s not the kind of place where you’d want to wear your best clothes because you’re likely to get a bit of something on them. We don’t have a fancy reception area or anyone to greet you at the door; usually, one of us will just look up from whatever we are counting or moving. The office part is just a small cabin with a desk that has seen better days and a calendar that is a few months behind. We focus on getting the orders right and making sure the drums are sealed properly before they leave. Sometimes the heat in the warehouse gets a bit much, but we have a couple of big industrial fans that keep the air moving. We’ve been at this spot for a while, and we know most of the drivers who come through. It’s a straightforward business where we just get the job done and head home when the sun goes down. There is no point in making it sound like more than it is.
