Our place is located at 58 Motilal Gupta Road in the Barisha area of Kolkata. It’s an old part of the city with a lot of character and quite a bit of traffic throughout the day. We work out of this office handling industrial tools and various types of equipment. The building itself has been around for quite a while and it feels like a real part of the neighborhood. We don’t have a big fancy sign or a glass front like some of the newer shops; it’s just a regular workplace where we get our daily tasks done. During the summer, it gets incredibly humid here, and we usually have the ceiling fans going full blast while we check our inventory lists. We deal with a lot of local workshops and manufacturing units all around West Bengal. It’s a lot of back-and-forth on the phone and double-checking lists to make sure everything is right. We aren't the type to use big corporate words or pretend we’re something we’re not. We just know our tools and we know the people who use them every day. Sometimes the street gets a bit flooded during the heavy monsoon rains, which slows things down, but we just wait it out and get back to work once it clears. It’s a small group of us here, and we’ve all been doing this for a long time. We like being right here in the community rather than in some distant zone.
