Down at No. 6 Lyons Range, you’ll find us at Century Plyboards Private Ltd. It’s an old part of the city with a lot of history in the buildings. Our office feels like it’s seen a lot of years go by. We have high ceilings and those old-fashioned fans that spin slowly. There is always a lot of activity with people coming in and out with documents and samples. We deal with wood products, so there are usually stacks of boards leaning against the walls in some of the back rooms. It’s a bit dusty, which is hard to avoid in this line of work. The staff here is a mix of younger people and those who have been here since the start. We have our own ways of doing things that might seem a bit slow to outsiders, but it works for us. The phones ring pretty often, and there’s usually someone shouting to be heard over the noise of the street traffic outside. We don’t have a fancy lobby or anything like that. When you walk in, you’re right in the middle of the work. We usually eat our lunch together at a big table in the back. It’s a chance to relax before getting back to the orders and shipments. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We just focus on the boards and the customers who need them. It's a lot of physical inventory to track, but we manage to stay organized.
