Carl Zeiss India Pte. Ltd. is situated on the 10th floor of the North Boock at Poddar Point. This is right on Park Street, at 113, which is one of the most famous parts of the city. Being up on the tenth floor keeps us away from the street noise below, though you can still hear the faint honking if you listen closely. We work with a lot of precision equipment here, mostly optics and lenses. It’s the kind of work that requires a lot of patience and a steady hand. The office layout is simple. We have the North Block space mostly filled with our gear and desks. Park Street is always full of life, so there’s never a dull moment when you step outside for a walk or a bite to eat. Our staff is a mix of older hands and some newer people. We don't have a lot of fancy corporate rules; we just expect everyone to show up and do their part. The building is quite well-known in the area, so we don't usually have to give much direction to visitors. It’s a practical workspace. We spend a lot of time checking details and making sure the instruments are handled correctly. It can be a bit repetitive, but it’s important work. We like the location because everything is close by, which makes the workday go a bit faster.
