Cargo Department, Indian Airlines

We are the cargo department for the airline, but our local office is actually out in Barrackpore. We are located at 17/4-Smp Sarani, which is where Saibal Bhattacharya stays. It is a bit of a drive from the main city of Kolkata, but we handle a lot of the coordination from here. The office is simple and tucked away in a residential part of the neighborhood. We deal with a lot of shipping documents and flight schedules every day. It is not always smooth sailing; sometimes flights are delayed or the paperwork gets stuck in the system, and we have to spend hours on the phone. We don't have any big fancy signs out front to show where we are. Most of our work is about tracking what goes on the planes and making sure the records are right. Barrackpore is a quiet place compared to central Kolkata, which is nice for getting work done without too many distractions. We have a small desk setup and some old filing cabinets that have been here for years. It is just a handful of us working together. We don't really do big meetings or anything like that. We just come in, check the lists for the day, and try to make sure everything is moving like it should. It is just a regular job in a regular house on Smp Sarani. We just keep our heads down and work.
