Capstan Shipping

Our workspace is located in the Nabaneer Apartment on Nainan Para Lane. It is in the 700036 area of Kolkata, which is a bit of a walk from the main road. Because we are in an apartment building, it feels more like a home than a cold corporate office. We deal with shipping stuff every day, which means a lot of phone calls to the docks and checking on where containers are sitting. The office is usually a bit messy with paperwork scattered around the desks. My cousin and a couple of other guys help keep things moving. We don't have a big sign outside or a receptionist to greet people. Usually, if someone needs us, they just knock on the door or call us on the mobile. The lane is fairly quiet most of the time, except when the school nearby lets out. We spend most of our hours looking at schedules and trying to make sure the timing works out for the local deliveries. It is a lot of coordination and sometimes it gets stressful when a shipment is delayed, but that is just how the shipping business goes. We have a couple of computers that are always running and the printer is usually making noise in the corner. We just try to keep things honest and get the work done without making a big fuss about it. It is a small operation but we keep busy enough.
