Calnet Systems

We've been at 42 Strand Road for a while now. Our office is on the first floor, which means we have to walk up those stairs every single morning. It’s an old building, but it works for what we do here at Calnet Systems. Some days the noise from the street gets pretty loud, especially when the traffic picks up in the afternoon, but you get used to it after a bit. The light comes in through the windows in a certain way around noon, making the desks look a bit dusty no matter how much we wipe them down. We’ve got a small crew here, and mostly we just focus on getting the work done and making sure everything runs like it should. It’s not a fancy place by any means. There’s a tea stall not too far away where we usually go when we need a break from the screens. We don't really have a big reception area or anything like that. People just walk in, find someone at a desk, and we talk. Sometimes the internet acts up or the power fluctuates, which is just part of being in this part of town. We keep things pretty simple. There are files stacked up in the corner and a few old chairs for when someone drops by to talk about a project. It’s just a regular workplace where we try to keep the computers and systems behaving themselves without making a big fuss about it.
