Calcutta Printing House

Our place is located at 79/9B on Acharya Jagdish Ch. Bose Rd. It is a busy stretch of road, so there is always the sound of horns and buses passing by our front door. Calcutta Printing House has been part of this street for quite some time. Inside, it is usually a bit of a mess with paper scraps and half-finished projects lying on the tables. We do not really bother with tidying up for show because there is always another job waiting. Most of the guys here have ink under their fingernails that will not come out. We just handle the printing as it comes in. Sometimes the old machines act up and we have to spend an hour fixing a jam, but that is just part of the day. We do not have a fancy website or a marketing person telling us what to say. We just answer the phone and tell people if we can do the job or not. The air is thick with the scent of chemicals and old paper, which is a smell we have grown to like. It is a practical kind of place. We do not do anything flashy. If someone needs something printed, we set the type and run the press. It is just steady work on AJC Bose Road, and we have seen the neighborhood change a lot while we just stayed here doing the same thing.
