Calcutta Iron Udyog

You can find Calcutta Iron Udyog at 25 Burtalla Street. It is a very busy street with lots of traffic and people moving around at all hours. We work with iron products here. The building is quite old, like most of the structures in this part of the city. We have a lot of heavy material coming in and out on carts and trucks. It’s noisy and there is always a bit of dust in the air from the metal. We don't have any fancy carpets or air conditioning in the main work area. It is just a place where hard work gets done by hand. The guys here have been doing this for a long time. We know iron well. We don't spend money on big signs or bright lights to attract people. Our name is just painted on the front of the building. Sometimes it’s very hard to find a place to park on Burtalla Street because of all the handcarts and delivery trucks. We just deal with the daily chaos of the market. It’s a simple business for us. We get the iron, we process it or store it, and then it goes to whoever bought it. There are no complicated computer systems here. We use paper ledgers and pens mostly. It’s a bit old-fashioned, but it works for us. We aren't trying to change things, just making sure the weight is right.
