Calcutta Hearing Clinic

If you look for us on Sarat Bose Road, we are right across from Deshpriya Park. It’s a good landmark because everyone knows the park. The clinic is at 181A, and it’s been a fixture in this part of town for quite some time. The street outside is always full of cars and people walking to the shops nearby. Sometimes the noise from the traffic is so loud that we have to make sure the door is shut tight so people can focus during their tests. It’s a bit of a contrast, the quiet rooms inside and the chaos of the road outside. We have a few benches in the hallway where people sit. Most of our visitors are older folks who have lived in this neighborhood their whole lives. They usually want to talk about the weather or how much the city has changed before they get down to business. We have some cabinets filled with spare parts and little boxes that have been there for years. The light in the office is a bit dim, but it’s easy on the eyes. We don’t go for anything flashy here. It’s just a place where we check how people are hearing and try to fix whatever isn't working right. When the park has a festival or an event, the whole area gets blocked off, and we have to walk a long way to get to the front door. It’s just part of being on Sarat Bose Road.
