C. Ringer & Co.

Down here at 23, Lalbazar Street, the traffic never really stops. C. Ringer & Co. has been part of this neighborhood for longer than I’ve been working here, that’s for sure. The walls in the office are that pale color that only old buildings have, and the ceiling fans hum all day long to keep the humidity away. We handle a lot of different things, mostly medical supplies and bits and pieces that people need for their clinics. It’s not a glamorous job. We spend most of our mornings checking the stock against the delivery notes and making sure nothing got broken in transit. Lalbazar is a busy place, so there’s always noise coming in from the window. Sometimes the delivery trucks block the whole street and we have to wait to move our crates. It's just how things go in this part of town. We don't have a flashy website or anyone doing marketing for us. We just answer the phone and help whoever walks through the door. Sometimes the ledgers get a bit messy, and the ink smudges on the invoices if you aren't careful. We keep the lights on and the drawers organized as best we can. It’s a steady pace, nothing too fast, but we get the work done. If you're looking for us, look for the old sign on the street level. We're usually tucked away behind a stack of boxes or filling out some paperwork.
