Golchha Ink Industries

Golchha Ink Industries operates out of the first floor of Lal Kothi, which is a pretty well-known spot on Rabindra Sarani. It’s an old building with a lot of character, though the paint might be peeling in a few places. We occupy unit 207-F. The area is always packed with people and rickshaws, so getting here can be a bit of a squeeze. Inside our space, there is a distinct smell of chemicals and pigments. It is something you get used to after a few days. We have various vats and mixing tools spread across the floor. It isn’t the most modern setup, but it works for what we do. Our team is small, mostly just a few local guys who know how to handle the ink without making too much of a mess. We spend our mornings checking the consistency of the latest batches. The light from the windows isn't great, so we have some extra lamps around the workbenches. Lal Kothi has been here forever, and we feel like a part of the history now. We don't bother with a receptionist or anything like that. If you knock, someone will eventually hear you and let you in. We handle orders as they come and try to keep a steady pace. It is honest work, and we like being in the heart of the city where everything is happening. The floor has some permanent stains from spilled ink, but that is expected.
