We’ve been here at 118/2 Bipin Bihari Ganguly Street for a while now. Bowbazar is a busy place, especially this part of the road where everyone is looking for something gold or silver. It gets pretty loud outside with the traffic and people walking by all day long. Our shop isn't huge, but it fits what we need perfectly well. Most days we are just sitting here behind the glass counters, cleaning pieces or talking to folks who wander in from the street. Some people come in knowing exactly what they want, others just want to look at the designs we have on the shelves for a bit. It’s mostly family stuff, things you’d wear to a wedding or maybe give for a birthday. We try to keep things organized, though sometimes the workbench gets a bit messy when we are busy with repairs. The lighting inside is bright so people can see the details on the metal clearly. Being in this neighborhood means we see a lot of the same faces every week, which is nice. It’s just how things go in this part of town. Sometimes we have tea while waiting for the next person to walk through the door. It’s a straightforward way to spend the day.
