If you come to Panchrulia in Kharagpur, you’ll find us right near the rail crossing. You can’t miss it because of the sound of the trains. Bose Impex Private Limited is run by Subhranil Bose and a few of us who have lived here our whole lives. We do import and export work. It’s a very practical business. We don't have a fancy lobby or any marketing people telling us what to say. Our office is a simple room where the walls shake a little bit whenever a heavy freight train passes by. We handle a variety of goods and try to make sure they get where they need to go on time. Kharagpur is a busy hub, so being near the tracks actually makes sense for what we do. The dust from the railway is something we just have to live with, so we are always cleaning the desks. We don't make big claims about being the best. We just focus on getting the shipping containers booked and the invoices right. Most of the people we work with are neighbors or folks we've met through word of mouth. It’s a straightforward life. We work hard during the day, have some tea at the stall around the corner, and then head home. It’s not a complicated story, but it’s our business and we’re proud of it.
