Our office is Bmdg International Private Limited, and you can find us at 89/A New Colony in Kolkata. This part of Kolkata-West Bengal is quite tucked away, which is nice because it avoids the worst of the city noise. We are an international trading company, even though our office is in a regular neighborhood. The building is just a standard one, nothing that stands out. We have a few rooms where we keep our files and computers. Most of the day is spent checking on international time zones and sending out invoices. It is a lot of desk work and long phone conversations. We don't have any fancy furniture or a coffee machine; we just get tea from the guy at the corner. The New Colony area is friendly, and we know most of the people around. Sometimes we have to deal with power cuts, which can be annoying when you are in the middle of a transaction, but we have a backup for that. We don't have a big marketing department or anyone to write fancy speeches. It is just us, trying to make sure the goods move from one country to another without too many headaches. It is a practical business run by practical people. We stay busy with the paperwork and the logistics, and that’s about it for our daily life here. We usually close up shop before it gets too dark so we can get home to our families.
