Biswas Furnitures

Biswas Furnitures is located at 21/D in Durga Nagar, which is part of the Nimta area. We’re tucked away in Rabindranagar, and we’ve been part of this community for a long time. Our shop is a straightforward place where we keep a variety of wooden furniture. It’s not a massive showroom with air conditioning and fancy music. It’s more of a traditional shop where you can see the grain of the wood and feel the weight of the furniture. We have everything from simple stools to larger wardrobes. The space inside is a bit tight, and we often have to shift things around to let people get a good look at what they’re interested in. The neighborhood is fairly busy, but our corner of Durga Nagar stays relatively calm. We don't do much in the way of advertising. Most of our work comes from people who have known us for years or just happen to live a few streets away. We spend our mornings cleaning the dust off the pieces and making sure everything is in its right place. It’s a lot of manual work, and our clothes usually show it by the end of the shift. We just want to provide something useful to the people here in Rabindranagar without making a big deal out of it. It’s a humble business, and that’s exactly how we like it. Every piece of furniture has its own story, and we enjoy seeing them go to new homes.
