We are set up at No. 26 on Sundari Mohan Avenue, right near CST Road. It’s a busy intersection and you can hear the cars and trucks going by all day long. Birla Tyres has been a fixture here for some time. Our shop is filled with the smell of rubber, which you get used to after about five minutes. We spend the day stacking tyres, checking tread, and talking to drivers who pull in. It’s not a quiet job. There’s always the sound of air compressors or tools hitting the floor. We keep the place fairly organized, though it can get a bit chaotic when a big shipment arrives. CST Road is always moving, so we have to stay on our toes. We don't have a fancy lounge for people to wait in, just a couple of wooden benches that have seen a lot of use. We grab tea from the stall across the street whenever we get a break. The building at No. 26 is old but sturdy, and it holds a lot of stock. Most of the guys here have been working with tyres for years, so they know the drill. We just get on with it, day in and day out. It’s a practical business in a practical part of town. We don’t go in for big marketing stunts. We just stay open and handle whatever comes through the door. The floor is made of hard concrete and it’s seen a lot of wear over the years. We just keep our heads down and do the work.
