Bhagirathi Print & Process

We spend most of our days up here on the second floor of India Exchange Place. It is room D 39, and if you know the area near the Tea Board, you know how busy it gets around here. Our shop, Bhagirathi Print & Process, is just a regular place where we get the work done. There are always stacks of paper sitting around and the smell of ink is pretty much everywhere. We have been in this part of Calcutta Gpo for a long time now. Some days the lift works and some days we just take the stairs. It is just a few of us making sure the printing jobs get finished on time. We don't have a big fancy reception area or anything like that. Just some desks, the machines, and a lot of noise when things are running. Usually, someone is making tea or talking about the traffic outside. It gets hot in the afternoons but we just keep the fans going and stay busy. People come in with all sorts of requests, and we just try to figure out the best way to print what they need. It isn't always perfect, but we put the effort in. That is just how we do things here. We stay until the light starts to fade and the street downstairs gets a bit quieter. It is a simple life in a crowded building, but it is our work and we are used to the rhythm of it.
