You can find B. L. J. Plylam Marketing Pvt. Ltd. over at 228 A A. J. C. Bose Road. That road is always busy with trucks and cars, so there is never a dull moment outside our windows. The office is located in a pretty old building, but it’s sturdy. We have stacks of paperwork and catalogs everywhere because that’s just how the business goes. It can feel a bit chaotic on Mondays when everyone is trying to get things sorted for the week. We’ve got a small kettle in the corner that we use way too much. The floor is a bit uneven in the back room, so you have to watch your step. We don't spend much on decorations or anything like that. The walls are mostly covered with calendars and notes we’ve scribbled to ourselves. Most of our day is spent talking to people on the phone or checking what’s arrived in the latest shipment. A. J. C. Bose Road has its own rhythm, and we’ve become part of it over the years. Some days are slower than others, which gives us time to finally organize the shelves. We aren't trying to be anything we’re not. We just run the business from this spot and do our best to stay organized. It’s a lot of work, but we like the neighborhood well enough and the people who work along this road.
