Azam Traders

You can find us at 1 Totte Lane, which is right off Park Street. If you know the area, you know how narrow those lanes can be. It is a bit of a squeeze getting a rickshaw through there sometimes, especially when the neighbors have their stuff out on the steps. We have been operating Azam Traders from this little corner for years. We do general trading, mostly moving small goods from one place to another. The building is old, with high ceilings and walls that could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it stays cool in the summer heat. We spend a lot of time just organizing the stacks of boxes. It’s a family-run kind of thing, so there’s always someone drinking tea or arguing about where the latest shipment should go. We don't have any fancy brochures or a marketing department. People find us because they’ve been coming here for decades. The street outside is always full of life, with food stalls and people rushing to work. Sometimes it gets so loud we have to shout to hear each other inside, but that is just how it is in this part of town. We keep the doors open mostly to let the breeze in. It is a simple life, buying and selling, and we are quite happy being right here in the heart of things. We just keep our heads down and get the trading done as best we can.
