Atlas Logistics is based at 36/1 Thakurpukur Road in Kolkata. It’s an old part of the city and the road outside is almost always loud with trucks and buses passing by. Our office isn’t much to look at from the outside, but it’s where we get everything done for our logistics business. We handle a lot of shipments going in and out of West Bengal, which means there is always a stack of documents on someone's desk. We aren't a big corporation with hundreds of employees; we’re just a handful of people who know how to get things moving. The weather in Kolkata can be pretty tough with the rain and the heat, and that often messes with our schedules, but we just deal with it. We don't use any fancy talk or try to sound more important than we are. We just tell it like it is. If a shipment is going to be late because of the weather, we say so. We’ve been at 36/1 for a while now and we’re part of the neighborhood. Most of the time, it’s just us answering phones and checking on cargo. It’s a lot of routine, but every day has its own little problems to solve. We like the challenge of making sure things get where they need to go. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we do and we’re alright with that. It's been a long journey from when we first opened.
