Asian Auto Aircon is tucked away at 32/1, Lenin Sarani. We are actually inside the Jyoti Cinema Building, which is a pretty well-known spot around here. Being in such an old, famous building gives the shop a bit of character. Lenin Sarani is always packed with people, rickshaws, and cars, so there is never a quiet moment. We spend our days working on car air conditioning systems. Since we are right there in the cinema building, we get a lot of people stopping by who are just passing through the area. The space inside isn’t huge, but we make the most of it. It’s often cluttered with parts and tools, but that’s how we know where everything is. The smells of the city—street food from nearby stalls and exhaust fumes—come right in through the door. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that; you just walk in and talk to whoever isn't under a dashboard at that moment. Working in a landmark like the Jyoti Cinema Building means we don't have to give complicated directions. We just tell people the name and they usually find us. It’s a bit noisy and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it’s our home. We like being in the heart of the city where everything is happening. It keeps us busy and the days go by fast. We just fix what needs fixing and keep the cars cool.
