You can find Ashirbad Clinic at 1/U, Sahid Hamanta Kumar Basu Sarani. A lot of people just use the Hanuman Mandir nearby as a landmark to get here. It’s a well-known spot in the 700074 area of Kolkata. The street can get pretty congested with rickshaws and pedestrians, especially during festival times when the temple is busy. Our clinic is a modest setup. We have a few chairs in the waiting area and a small cabin for the doctor. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but they are clean enough. We spend most of our time dealing with patients rather than worrying about the decor. It’s a place where you can hear the temple bells ringing throughout the day, which is actually quite nice. We handle a variety of health issues, mostly the routine things that families deal with. We don’t have a digital calling system, so we just call out the next person’s name when it’s their turn. It can get a little disorganized on Monday mornings, but we manage to get through the queue eventually. The tap in the washroom leaks a little bit, we should probably get that fixed soon. Most people who come here are from the nearby houses. They like that we are close by and they don't have to travel far. It’s just a small, local clinic trying to do right by the people. We’ve been here a long time.
