You can find us in Room 205 of Marshall House, which is a sturdy old building at 33/1 on N. S. Road. If you have ever been to this part of the city, you know how loud and crowded the streets get with all the traffic and vendors. Our office is up on the second floor, and though there is an elevator, it is often faster to just walk up the heavy stone stairs. The room is filled with toys of all kinds, and sometimes it feels more like a warehouse than an office. We have wooden cupboards that are overflowing with samples, and the desks are usually covered in order forms and half-finished tea. It is a simple place where we have worked for many years. We do not have any modern decorations or fancy furniture. The windows look out over the street, and we can hear the constant honking of horns throughout the day. It is a very Kolkata way of doing business, where things might look a bit disorganized to a stranger, but we know exactly where everything is located. We spend a lot of time talking to local shop owners who come by to see what new items we have in stock. It is a steady way of life, and we like being in the middle of all the action on N. S. Road. We just keep our heads down and make sure the orders are ready on time.
