Ankit Motors

Ankit Motors is located near Saroj Park, right at Champadali More on Tarki Road in Barasat. It’s a busy spot, especially with all the traffic coming through the intersection. We spend most of our time under hoods or dealing with spare parts. The shop gets pretty greasy, which is expected when you're working on motors all day. My clothes usually have a few oil stains by noon. We’ve been here in Barasat for a while, and most of the local drivers know our faces. It gets hot in the summer, and the fans in the shop don’t do much, but we keep working. There’s no fancy waiting room here; people just stand around or sit on a plastic chair while we look at their vehicles. We handle a lot of different problems, some easy and some that take all day to figure out. We don’t promise miracles, we just try to get the cars back on the road. The noise from Tarki Road is constant, so you have to shout a bit to be heard. We’re just a regular group of mechanics and staff trying to earn a living. Sometimes we run out of a specific part and have to wait for the delivery truck, which can be frustrating. But that’s just how the business goes. We like being part of the Barasat community and seeing the regulars come back for their repairs.
