Being in this part of the city means we’re right in the middle of all the old-school commerce and the constant movement of the crowds. The building is one of those classic Kolkata structures where you really feel the history of the place. To get to our room on the fourth floor, you go through the first gate and head up. It’s a busy environment with people always coming and going, carrying goods or documents. Our office is a straightforward space where we manage our estate work. It’s not particularly modern, but it works for what we do. We have our files organized, or at least we try to, and there’s always someone around to answer the door. Rabindra Sarani has a certain energy that you don't find elsewhere, and being based here for our real estate business feels right. It’s loud, it’s crowded, and it’s very real. We don’t spend much time worrying about the decor; we just focus on the transactions and the paperwork that our clients need help with. Usually, the day starts early before the heat gets too bad, and we stay until the main rush starts to die down in the evening. It’s a busy life but we’re used to it by now and wouldn't have it any other way.
