We are up on the 6th floor of Bhakta Towers, which is at Plot No 22 in Block KB of Salt Lake City, Sector 3. Working at Andritz Technologies Pvt Ltd feels a bit different than the old industrial areas because we are in the middle of Kolkata’s tech hub. From our floor, we can see the other office blocks and the greenery of Salt Lake. Our days are mostly spent in front of screens, handling various technical tasks and projects. It is a lot of data, diagrams, and making sure the systems are running the way they should. Even though it is a modern office, we keep things pretty low-key. We don't have those fancy bean bags or game rooms you see on TV; it is just a place where we come to work. The elevators can be a bit slow in the morning when everyone is trying to get to their floor at the same time. Lunch breaks are usually spent at the local stalls nearby or just eating at the desks while we chat about the weekend. We have people from all over the city coming here every morning on the bus or the metro. It is a professional environment, but we are just a group of people trying to get through the task list. We don't use a lot of big words to describe what we do. If a project is hard, we just put in the extra hours until it’s finished.
