Our office is situated high up on the 7th floor of Block 2 at 33A Chowrangi Road. Being that high up means we get a pretty good look at the city, although we are usually too busy with electrical components to notice. Chowrangi Road is a landmark in itself, and it is always buzzing with activity. We have a fairly large space here to accommodate all the electrical supplies and the administrative staff. The elevators in this block can be quite a wait during the morning rush, so some of us try to arrive a bit earlier. We deal with a lot of different electrical items, and the office is often filled with the smell of new plastic and metal. It is a bit of a hike to get up here if the power is out, but luckily that doesn't happen too often. We have several rows of shelving units packed with stock, and a few desks for the billing and orders. The team is a mix of older staff who know every part number by heart and some younger folks who are still learning the ropes. We don't really have a reception area; you just walk in and someone will be there at a desk. It’s a busy, functional environment where we focus on getting the electrical orders processed and sent out to the customers who need them. It's just a normal day-to-day operation for us and we just keep it moving.
