AMATEUR WORLD

We’re tucked away in Flat No. 3,1/6 Gandhi Colony, Resent Park, Tollygunge. It is a residential building, so it feels more like a home than a business. We like it that way. When you walk into the flat, you will see that the living room has been taken over by workbenches and shelves. There are wires running along the baseboards and stacks of equipment everywhere you look. It is a bit of a maze, especially if we have just received a new shipment of parts. People into amateur radio and hobby electronics usually find their way to us. We have been here in Tollygunge for quite a while now. Most of our neighbors are used to seeing us carrying boxes up and down the stairs. We do not have a big storefront or neon lights. It is just a quiet place where we get things done. Sometimes we spend hours just testing a single piece of gear to make sure it is right. It is peaceful work most of the time. We do not have a big staff, just a couple of us who really enjoy the technical side of things. If the doorbell rings, it is usually someone looking for a specific part or some advice on a project. We try to help out if we are not too buried in our own projects. It is just AMATEUR WORLD, a little corner for people who love electronics and need a hand.
