We’ve been here at B 6 G. B. Dutta Road in Sodepur for a while now. Most people in the Amarabati area know where we are. It’s just a small place, nothing fancy. We deal with trading various items that folks around here need. My father started things off, and I just kept it going. Some days it’s busy, and some days it’s just us sitting around waiting for the next truck to arrive. We try to keep stock of the basics so people don't have to travel too far into the city. It’s a lot of work handling the inventory and making sure everything is counted right. Sometimes the shipments are late, which can be a bit of a headache, but we manage. People stop by to chat as much as they do to buy things. That’s just how it is in this neighborhood. We don’t have a big team, just a few of us making sure the doors open on time every morning. It gets dusty with the road right there, but we keep the place as clean as we can. Dealing with suppliers takes up most of my afternoon. It's not glamorous work, but it pays the bills and keeps us connected to the community here. If you're walking down towards Amarabati, you’ll probably see our sign. We're usually open until the evening unless something comes up. Just a regular trading spot doing what we do every day.
