Almal & Sons Pvt. Ltd. is tucked away on the third floor of Homeland Mall. We’re in Unit No - 327, which is a bit of a walk from the elevator, but it’s quiet back there. 18B Ashutosh Mukherjee Road is a well-known spot, so people usually don't have too much trouble finding the building. We’ve been operating out of this mall for a good while now. It’s a different vibe being in a mall compared to a street-side shop. You don't get the dust, but you do get the mall music playing in the hallway. Our office is pretty functional. We have a few desks, some tall filing cabinets that have seen better days, and a very old kettle for tea. We do a lot of back-and-forth with our clients and suppliers. It’s a family-run kind of thing, so we argue sometimes about where the stapler went or who was supposed to answer the last email. That's just how we work. We don't try to look like those fancy corporate offices you see in magazines. This is a real place where real work happens. Sometimes the mall air conditioning is too cold and we have to wear sweaters even in the summer. It's a steady life. We show up every morning, check the messages, and start the day. It’s not about being the biggest, just about being consistent with what we do here in our unit.
