Alis Uniworth Classes

Our classes at Alis Uniworth are held at 147 Chittaranjan Avenue in Kolkata. We are very close to the MG Road Metro Station. You can actually see the crowds coming out of the station from the street near us. The Panchayat Masjid is a major landmark nearby, and we hear the sounds from there throughout the day. This part of Kolkata is very old and has a lot of character. The building we are in has high ceilings and those thick walls you don't see in modern places. It stays relatively cool, but we still use the fans a lot in the summer. The streets are always full of hand-pulled rickshaws and yellow taxis. It’s quite a sight if you aren't from around here. We have been running things from this location for quite some time. The furniture is a bit older, and the floor has some marks from years of use, but it works for us. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing team. We just open up in the morning, sweep the floor, and get ready for the day's lessons. Students usually trickle in after the metro arrives. Sometimes we sit out on the balcony for a few minutes to watch the traffic on CR Avenue. It’s a busy, noisy, and very real part of the city, and we like being part of it. There is nothing polished about it, just a place for learning.
