Alcast is located up on the fifth floor of P-41 Princep Street. Room 510 is where you’ll find us. It’s one of those older buildings where the elevator is sometimes a bit moody, so we often end up taking the stairs. We deal with castings and metal parts, mostly helping out small shops and factories that need specific bits and pieces. The office is pretty small, mostly taken up by samples of aluminum and other metals we work with. It's not a place with fancy furniture or a reception desk. Usually, there’s just a couple of us sitting at our desks or talking on the phone with the foundry. We’ve been here in this part of town for years because it’s where all the action is for the metal trade. The street outside is always crowded with carts and trucks, which can be a headache, but we’re used to it by now. We spend our time looking over drawings and making sure the specs are what they should be. It’s a lot of back and forth between us and the guys doing the actual casting work. We aren't a huge corporation, just a small team trying to make sure our clients get what they asked for without too much fuss. It gets hot in the summer, but we keep the fans going and keep working. Sometimes the piles of paperwork get high, but we manage to stay on top of it.
