Agility Logistics

Our office is situated at 260/1 on N.S.C. Bose Road in the 700 047 area of Kolkata. It is a very well-known road, so it is not too hard to find us, though the traffic can be a real nightmare during the peak hours. The building we are in has that typical old Kolkata feel to it. We have been running Agility Logistics from this location for quite some time now. The walls inside could probably use a fresh coat of paint, and the wooden desks are starting to show their age, but they still work fine for us. We spend most of our day sitting under the ceiling fans, tracking shipments on the computer and talking to the transport guys. The noise from the street is constant—horns honking and people shouting—but after a while, you stop noticing it. We usually have a lot of paperwork scattered around because there are always forms to fill out for the goods we handle. Sometimes the rain comes down so hard that the sound on the roof makes it difficult to hear anyone on the phone. We take our tea breaks together and usually talk about things other than work just to clear our heads. It is a straightforward operation here. We don't have any big corporate mission or anything like that; we just show up, do the logistics work that needs doing, and head home when the sun goes down. It is just a plain office on a busy street.
