Our place is down in the basement of the Sadhana Press building on B. B. Ganguly Street. It can get a bit stuffy down here especially when the machines are running, but we are used to it by now. Being in the basement means we don't see the sun much during the day. We spend most of our time dealing with computers and information systems. There are wires everywhere and we are always trying to organize the server racks or figure out why a connection is dropped. It’s a lot of sitting and looking at screens. People come in with all sorts of tech problems. Sometimes it’s a hardware issue and other times it’s just something wrong with the setup. We have been in this spot for a bit and the neighbors know us. The street outside is always crowded with traffic and people going to the press, so it’s pretty loud upstairs. Down here it’s mostly just the hum of the cooling fans. We don't really do anything fancy. We just come in, drink some tea, and get to work on whatever project is on the desk that morning. If you are looking for us, you have to find the entrance to the premises first because it's tucked away. We keep plenty of spare parts in the back room just in case someone needs a quick fix. It is just how we run things every day down here in the basement.
