We've been working out of 28/A Nazir Lane for a while now. Khidirpur is a busy part of Kolkata, and the lane here is usually full of people coming and going throughout the day. Most days, we are just surrounded by stacks of files and legal documents that seem to grow every week. Being an advocate means a lot of time spent in the office or heading down to the court buildings. It’s not a fancy setup at all, just a practical space where Shilpi Das and the rest of the team handle the paperwork that comes through our doors. Sometimes the traffic outside gets incredibly loud, especially around the Nazir Lane area where everything is so cramped. We usually start early in the morning before it gets too hot to think straight. Kolkata weather can be really tough in the summer months, but we keep the fans going and stay focused on whatever case is currently on the desk. People find us easily enough because everyone around here knows the local landmarks well. We don’t have a big reception area or anything like that. It’s just desks, chairs, and shelves full of old law books that have been here for many years. We handle the legal stuff and the advice side of things day in and day out. It’s steady work that keeps us moving. The neighborhood has its own rhythm, and we’ve become a part of it over time. We aren't trying to be something we're not. We just show up at the 700023 address and get to work.
