If you are near the Kankurgachhi crossing on Maniktala Main Road, you will see us right beside Nemichand Bamalwa. Our place is at 190A, and it is usually easy to spot because of the cars. It is a busy intersection, so there is always someone looking through the glass or walking by. We spend the day looking over the vehicles, making sure they look decent and checking the details. It is not a huge, impersonal place; it is just our gallery where we keep the cars. The light comes in through the front windows and hits the paintwork, which is nice in the mornings. We do a lot of talking to people who are just curious or those who really need a new ride. Kankurgachi is a lively area, and we like being right in the middle of it. Sometimes the paperwork for the registrations takes up more time than we would like, sitting at the back desk with a pile of forms. We keep the floor clean, but it is a working shop, so there is always something to do. It is about the cars, really. We see all kinds of people coming through the doors. We just stay focused on the vehicles and the daily routine of running the gallery on this busy corner. It is a lot of standing around and talking, but we enjoy seeing people drive off in something they like.
