Academic Foundation School

Academic Foundation School is located at 95 Behala, right near Arcedia on Brcharam Chatterjee Road. If you know this part of Kolkata, you know the roads can get pretty crowded, especially when it rains. Our school is a solid, no-nonsense building. We’ve been here serving the local community for quite some time. The classrooms are basic, with the usual desks and blackboards you’d expect. We don't have any of those high-end facilities that cost a fortune. We focus on getting the daily lessons done. The staff is mostly made up of people from the neighborhood who have a real connection to the area. Every morning, there’s a bit of a rush as students arrive through the gates. We try to keep things orderly, but kids will be kids. The building has its quirks, like a door that squeaks or a hallway that gets a bit dark when the power fluctuates. We just deal with it. We aren't about big missions or fancy slogans. We’re just here to provide a place for children in Behala to come and get their schooling done. It’s a lot of hard work and not much glamour. Most days involve a lot of talking, some writing, and making sure everyone is where they should be. It’s a typical school day in a typical neighborhood, and we’re fine with that. We just take it one day at a time and do the work.
