We are located on the ground floor at 8, Bolai Dutta Street. Abdin Leather Conceria Pvt Ltd has been part of this street for quite some time. The smell of leather is the first thing you notice when you walk in. It’s a strong, earthy smell that stays with you. We don’t have a big fancy lobby. You just walk right in from the street and you’re in the middle of it. There are hides stacked up and samples lying around on the counters. It’s a busy place, especially when new stock arrives. Bolai Dutta Street can be a bit narrow and crowded, but that’s just how this part of the city is. We handle a lot of different types of leather here. It’s a hands-on job. You have to feel the material to know if it’s any good. My staff and I spend a lot of time checking for marks or flaws. We don’t use a lot of big words to describe what we do. We just work with leather. Some days are slower than others, but there’s always something to organize or a customer to talk to. We like being on the ground floor because it makes it easy for people to drop in. It’s a bit dark inside sometimes, but the light from the door is enough. It’s a honest way to earn a living, and we’re proud to be here on Bolai Dutta Street.
